About Rene' Gordon

My background

I was born in Germany, raised in Georgia, and spent what I call my "formative" adult years in Virginia.

I love to travel and experience what other countries have to offer in lifestyle, food, and entertainment.

I have an interesting imagination, and I love to put that into words and try to capture the images I see in my mind onto paper.

My writing roots

I've been writing since I was a little girl, and I love to take people to other places that captivate them and keep them wondering what's coming next.

I gained a deeper appreciation for writing in the fine arts magnet high school I attended. I decided to take my poetry from high school through my late twenties/early thirties to write my first book of poetry titled Life, Love, & Loss: Words from the Heart (available on Amazon).

Years later, I wrote my first children's book titled Animals in Our World: A - Z (available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble)

Other books include: Who? What? When? Where? How? Why? A Story about a Life

and The Next 31 Days: Realign Your Thinking, Realign Your Life that I coauthored with my husband. Both are available on Amazon.

I've also published books for other authors to include "Our Love Story" - How we met, How we live" by Dorothy and Isaac Jackson, Jr.

My style

Words can capture us and take us to fascinating places. Sometimes the words tell us of characters that are imaginary, and sometimes they are based on reality.

Whether it's song lyrics, stories, slogans, or jingles, I enjoy writing, and the words almost always come to me as poetry.
